Why am I doing this?
To enhance my practice and that of my students to further develop the teaching and learning in my classroom with a focus on thinking.
What level are my students presently at? How do I know?
Some iniyila activities using hats and graphic organisers PMI quickly established only a few children really knew what I was talking about. A few children had used the hats before but there was only one who could talk about most of the hats with understanding. We as a class had used a PMI before so many could talk about this.

As a team we designed a quick check(written test) , this showed a variety of thinking tools - again this showed only a few could really talk about hats and the variety of thinking tools was not well known.
What barriers to learning need to be overcome? What resources will I need?
- Time to research different thinking tools and to plan activities to use the tools within.
- Time to make the different thinking tools for the students to use
- Planning to include thinking strategies or tools to be used
